Is my data backed up anywhere?
No — your flight log is stored only on your device. Consider periodically noting your totals elsewhere as a backup.
Does this replace my company's official flight time records?
No. This app is a personal planning aid. Always confirm your actual flight and duty time against your airline's official records.
Can I import my schedule?
Yes — the app supports importing from calendar (.ics) files and many airline crew-schedule PDF exports. You'll always get a chance to review what was imported before it's added to your log.
If your airline publishes your schedule to your device's Calendar app (check with your crew scheduling system — this is often called a "calendar subscription" or "export to calendar" feature), FAR 117 Tracker can read it directly.
First time setup:
After that: just tap Sync from Calendar again anytime your schedule changes. It automatically replaces outdated flights and removes ones that were dropped — always review the list before confirming, since it's pulling directly from your calendar and won't catch everything automatically (deadhead legs in particular often aren't distinguishable from operating legs in calendar data).
If calendar access was accidentally denied, or you want to double-check it's on: Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars → FAR 117 Tracker should show "Full Access."
Didn't grant a calendar with your schedule on it? You can still import manually via a saved .ics calendar file or a PDF crew schedule, both available in the same Import Schedule section.
